Baby's First Cereal!

R. ate his first solid food yesterday evening! It was his first time
feeling the texture of food in his mouth, his first time swallowing a
non-liquid, his first time feeling a spoon on his gums and lips, and it
was less messy than I had expected.

He ate about a quarter of the cereal that I prepared for him. I made 1
tbsp of multi-grain rice cereal to 4 tbsp of organic formula. The event
lasted for about five minutes, culminating in loud crying for his bottle,
presumably because this new method of eating was exhausting.

R. was awake for about two hours more, after which he slept through the
night. He usually wakes up between 3:00 and 5:00 in the morning. Today
he woke around 6:30 am.
